Located on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territories and the Homeland of the Métis, the Western Development Museum (WDM) is the largest human history museum in Saskatchewan.  With a collection of over 75,000 artifacts ranging from pins to locomotives and four locations in the province, the WDM shares the Saskatchewan story from the beginning of settlement to present day. The Saskatoon location tells the stories 1910 Boomtown and innovation on the prairies.

Girl Guides of Canada is looking for Unit Guiders in Saskatoon. We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities. As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more. No experience is necessary, all training and resources are provided. You can choose to work with a specific branches: Sparks (age 5-6), Embers (age 7-8), Guides (age 9-11), Pathfinders (age 12-14) or Rangers (age 15-17). We have units in most neighborhoods, so you'll be matched with one close by to your home or work, that meets on a day you are available. Since 1979, Foundations Learning has provided adult tutoring services with the help of trained volunteers and community partners. They have expanded to offer adult, family, children’s, and financial literacy programs and literacy facilitator training and resources.
