The Health Research Data Platform – Saskatchewan (HRDP-SK) is looking for people to join its Public Advisory Council (PAC).If you care about how health data is used and want to help shape how it informs research and decision-making in Saskatchewan, this could be a great fit.What will PAC members do?As a member of the Public Advisory Council, you will bring your experiences, perspectives, and ideas to conversations about how health data is used. You will help HRDP-SK:· Improve how to communicate about health data to the public· Protect privacy and security · Build public trust and engagement· Ensure the perspectives of Saskatchewan communities are reflected in health data researchWho are we looking for?We are looking for people from across Saskatchewan who can bring different experiences and perspectives to the table.Helpful experience could include:· Being part of a group or committee· Contributing to your community and caring about its well-being· Personal experience with Saskatchewan’s health system as a patient, family member, or caregiver· Involvement in provincial initiatives or advisory groupsNo previous council or committee experience is required. Client service volunteers provide support to the client and their families in many ways and are part of the total team effort that is invaluable in hospice care. An optimum environment for a person with a terminal ill ness can only be achieved if there is time to listen, to understand, and to care. This is an integral part of what a volunteer does.The role of the volunteer is to be of assistance to anyone who may need it... the client, the family, or other members of the team. They are there to provide emotional support, practical help, and companionship. They have the time tolisten, to understand, and to care for the client and others. The volunteer does not see the client every day, so they bring a certain freshness and vitality which can be a great support to the care providers who may be continuously close to their loved one who is dying.Activity examples: Going for walks, listening to music, errand running, playing crib, providing rides to appointments and much more. Time commitment: 4 hours / week. We are in particular need of volunteers who are available during the weekdays.

Consider volunteering and take an active role on one of Meewasin’s Board Advisory Committees! We are seeking three new members to join the Development Review Committee. Meewasin’s Board of Directors makes appointments, and vacancies are filled as necessary. Potential candidates must have the necessary qualifications and experience to fulfil the purpose of the committee. Meewasin strives to have diverse representation on its advisory committees to ensure our entire community is represented. If you are part of an under-represented community, we strongly encourage you to apply.The Development Review Committee assists the Meewasin Board of Directors as follows: a) review and advise the Board on development applications of proposed improvements; b) review and advise the Board on additions to the Meewasin Development Plan; and c) review and advise the Board on the development review process. The committee typically meets every other month. Meetings are held virtually.The Development Review Committee is currently seeking three (3) members that fit the following requirements: • One member, must be a professional planner; • Two members, as defined in The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, at least one of whom is a geotechnical engineer or a professional geoscientist. At times, ‘all committee’ meetings are called or requests are made for input for specific projects from the project’s Technical Advisory Committee. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, and shall be eligible for re-appointment to a maximum of two consecutive terms (four years). Appointees retired from a committee may serve on another committee or be eligible for re-appointment following a minimum one-year absence. Foundations Learning is offering a free, year-round Income Tax Clinic in partnership with the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), and we are recruiting Volunteer Tax Preparers. As a Volunteer Tax Preparer, you will complete income tax returns for low-income Saskatchewan residents with simple tax situations. This helps them get the benefits and tax credit they may be entitled to. Our tax clinic will be offered both in person and virtually. You can choose to volunteer in person at a tax clinic or virtually by completing income tax returns online, or both!. You have the option to volunteer only during the tax season (March-April), or throughout the year. No accounting experience is required. Volunteers receive free in-person training and online resources provided by the CRA, as well as additional training and ongoing support from Foundations Learning. Duties and Responsibilities: Complete income tax returns following CRA guidelines Use EFILE tax preparation software to file tax returns electronically Maintain strict confidentiality on all taxpayer information Verify taxpayer identity by checking photo ID prior to filing Call the CVITP dedicated help line for any questions about income tax, using EFILE, and the UFile CVITP tax software Communicate issues, questions, or concerns with the Tax Clinic Coordinator Qualifications: No accounting experience required Must have a valid Social Insurance Number Must have filed your own taxes in Canada at least once Training and software will be provided

Volunteer with family literacy programs and events that encourage parents and children to learn together. The various components of this program support literacy development for the entire family and encourages parents and children to learn together. Volunteers work collaboratively with the Family Literacy Coordinator to help support the relationship between caregivers and children by modeling that literacy is not limited to reading and writing.
