The Shoebox Project for Women is a registered charity that collects and distributes gift-filled Shoeboxes to local women impacted by homelessness across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
We aim to foster safe, supportive and inclusive communities by facilitating compassionate gestures of kindness between our supporters and local women experiencing homelessness.
For women who have been displaced from their homes and estranged from their families, special occasions can be particularly challenging. Often, women report feeling disconnected from society, invisible and alone. Â A Shoebox gift is a powerful reminder for a woman that she has not been forgotten and that she remains a valued and respected member of her community.
For those giving gifts, The Shoebox Project is a tangible and creative opportunity to give back directly to someone in your very own community. Itâs a small, simple gesture of kindness that has an immediate, positive impact on the woman who receives it.

The Shoebox Project for Women is an unaffiliated, non-religious, Canadian charity that supports women experiencing or at-risk-of homelessness, and that celebrates diversity, builds awareness, challenges stigma and promotes equity.

The Canadian Pride Historical Society (CPHS) is a non-profit organization with the goal of documenting the Pride Movement in Canada. The CPHSâs vision is to inspire conversations about the future of the Pride Movement in Canada as we share the stories of our past. Our goal is to:
Record and preserve the history of the Pride Movement in Canada so that future generations can understand why we have Pride, and
Provide education resources through digital and physical exhibits on the history of the Pride Movement in Canada.
This is important as Prides have served an important role in the GSRD rights movement and within their local communities, however, very little has been documented and shared about their history and impact.
