I started Voluntary Treatment First Saskatchewan because I'm concerned about the direction our province is taking with Bill 48. Like many people, I've watched the addiction crisis affect families, friends, and communities across Saskatchewan. I believe we should be investing in accessible voluntary treatment, mental health care, housing, and recovery supports before turning to forced treatment. This petition is about giving people a voice and pushing for solutions that are compassionate, evidence-based, and built around helping people get the support they need.

Meewasin is a non-profit organization that exists to ensure a healthy and vibrant river valley, with a balance between human use and conservation, for the benefit of present and future generations, in Saskatoon & area. Created in 1979 by an Act of the Government of Saskatchewan, The Meewasin Valley Authority Act, Meewasin is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving the cultural and natural resources of the South Saskatchewan River Valley. It is the means by which the three participating parties (City of Saskatoon, Government of Saskatchewan, and University of Saskatchewan) have chosen to best manage the Meewasin Valley in the South Saskatchewan River Basin. The creation of Meewasin is based on the concept that the partners working together through a single agency – Meewasin – can accomplish more than they could individually.

The Rose Parade, also commonly known as the Rose Bowl Parade, is the highlight of the annual Tournament of Roses that greets the new year in Pasadena every year since way back in 1890. The Rose Parade is a lively, loud and colourful parade involving dozens of floats, marching bands and equestrian units, and is watched by a huge audience, both on the city streets and also on televison and online via the increasingly popular and free live stream, which is back once again for the 2024 event, which will be the 135th year this fabulous event has taken place. The formation area for participants is in front of Tournament House, and then the start point is at the corner of Green Street and Orange Grove Boulevard. The parade then moves north on Orange Grove before turning onto Colorado Boulevard for the main viewing, then onto Sierra Madre Boulevard before the parade ends at Villa Street. There are ticketed seating areas available in reserved grandstand areas on the parade route, and you must have a ticket if you wish to sit in the grandstands.
