Prairie Hospice Society is a charitable, non-profit community organization working to ensure access to compassionate, community-based, end-of-life support in Saskatoon. Our goal is to enhance quality of life at the end of life, wherever people call home. We provide one-on-one companionship and non-medical support for clients and their families, raise awareness and educate the community about end-of-life care, and advocate for quality end-of-life care.

Community Development

- Using the ‘Nothing About Us Without Us’ philosophy, build relationships and ongoing connections with core community agencies and organizations;
- Foster joint community efforts and actions on systemic issues and situations;
- Build individual and group capacity to engage in social change processes;
- Foster, coordinate, participate in and/or lead community activities to address social issues of core communities, normally in cooperation with community partners.

- Offer a positive presence and perspective with and among groups and partners throughout ICM activities;

- Serves Neighbourhood groups and the wider church and faith communities as able;
- Provide individual and family support, community service navigations as well as emotional, social, and spiritual care as able.

The Rosewood Community Association is a volunteer non-profit organization that was incorporated in August 2012 to service residents of the Rosewood Community in Saskatoon. We plan programs and events, bringing residents together in the Rosewood community.

Volunteer to join the fun assisting youth experiencing disability ages 13-22. Programming is offered Thursday and Friday nights.

We are a non-profit organization that provides choices and opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are rooted in the philosophy of Gentle Teaching and offer vocational, daytime and home supports designed with the individuals’ values, desires and goals in mind.

The Saskatchewan Cerebral Palsy Association is a registered nonprofit charity focused on helping individuals with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in the province of Saskatchewan.  Our mission is to ensure individuals with cerebral palsy the right to opportunities to achieve their fullest potential through education, health care and access to all amenities of the community.

- We are an interdisciplinary team with extensive knowledge and experience in providing front-line intervention and prevention services to Saskatoon’s most vulnerable youth and young adults.
- We provide wrap-around client-centred services such as harm reduction education, personalized client referrals and assessments, outreach support, cultural and youth-developed programming, life-skills mentorship, substance use disorder and drop-in counselling.
- Summit believes in the inherent dignity and worth of all young persons regardless of their lifestyle or risk level.

The Sunshine Inclusive Playhouse in Saskatoon was founded by Yasaman Rafiei (Yasmine) and opened for business in April of 2022. This exciting initiative is an indoor ,safe and inclusive space for people with disabilities and families to develop and play. a registered non-profit entity under the Non-Profit Corporations Act 195 (sec 164) of Saskatchewan.

Our mission is to establish a first-class special needs service that will provide a home away from home for individuals (children and adults) with disabilities and typically developing children and adults. Our facility will be a sought-out destination place for children and adults with wide-ranging disability levels to play and grow together.

Our services include open play, respite care, birthday parties, camps, workshops, classes, day programs, field trips, special events, space rentals to therapists and schools and any other organizations.

The Micah Mission is a non-profit, grassroots organization in Saskatoon working with those who are federally incarcerated as well as coming out of incarceration. We are looking to add volunteers to our Person-to-Person (P2P) program. P2P is a program that matches interested patients at the Regional Psychiatric Centre with trained community volunteers - often patients in the program do not have any other visitors. Volunteers visit with an assigned patient two hours per month. The times are flexible and all training is provided. The experience is both rewarding to the patient as well as to the volunteer. Micah is a volunteer-driven organization that promotes Restorative Justice. Through friendship, visitation, support and accountability we aspire to transform the lives of incarcerated, formerly incarcerated individuals, and their families.

The Micah Mission is a volunteer based, restorative justice organization in Saskatoon. We have programs in which volunteers can assist individuals affected by the justice system in safe and successful reintegration. Through Person to Person visits in prison and Circles of Support and Accountability in the community, volunteers make a significant difference in reducing the rates of recidivism.
