As a logistics leadership volunteer, you will be part of our organizing committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.DescriptionThe Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. It is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada.This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026.As the volunteer Site Lead, you will be responsible for: â€˘ Booking the venue and all logistical suppliers working with your Run Director, Logistics, and staff partner.  â€˘ Creating a site plan for event day.  â€˘ Executing set up and tear down on event weekend.  â€˘ Overseeing all site tasks and event day setup/takedown volunteers on event day. Why we need youYour commitment will help make a real difference for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer.What we're looking forYou are passionate about the breast cancer cause, well-connected in your community, and enjoy event planning. The ideal candidate for this volunteer role has a positive attitude, communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong sense of self-motivation and time management. Knowledge and/or experience in any of the role responsibilities is considered an asset. Must be 18+ to apply. Volunteer application process will occur in English in all provinces except Quebec where it will occur in French.  CCS is dedicated to equity and encourages applications from all qualified candidates.
