Foundations Learning invites youth like you to get involved in meaningful volunteer opportunities that support children, families, and financial literacy across Saskatchewan.As a youth volunteer, you’ll gain hands-on experience, develop communication and leadership skills, and be part of a team that believes learning changes lives. Whether you’re helping at a Family Literacy Night, supporting children’s learning activities, or promoting financial wellness, your time and energy will make a lasting difference.Volunteering with us can also count toward Volunteerism 30—a great way to earn school credit while making a positive impact. We’ll support you every step of the way with training, mentorship, and opportunities to find the volunteer role that fits you best.Foundations Learning has youth volunteer opportunities in our Children, Family, and Financial Literacy program areas. We recommend that youth volunteers take training in each of the program areas to find the volunteer opportunity within these that suits you and your community best. Volunteer opportunities are available throughout Saskatchewan.You will also have access to additional professional and personal development opportunities. These opportunities will be counted towards your total volunteer hours, and costs, including provincial travel and accommodation, will be covered by Foundations Learning.

Foundations Learning is offering a free, year-round Income Tax Clinic in partnership with the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), and we are recruiting Volunteer Tax Preparers. As a Volunteer Tax Preparer, you will complete income tax returns for low-income Saskatchewan residents with simple tax situations. This helps them get the benefits and tax credit they may be entitled to. Our tax clinic will be offered both in person and virtually. You can choose to volunteer in person at a tax clinic or virtually by completing income tax returns online, or both!. You have the option to volunteer only during the tax season (March-April), or throughout the year. No accounting experience is required. Volunteers receive free in-person training and online resources provided by the CRA, as well as additional training and ongoing support from Foundations Learning. Duties and Responsibilities: Complete income tax returns following CRA guidelines  Use EFILE tax preparation software to file tax returns electronically  Maintain strict confidentiality on all taxpayer information  Verify taxpayer identity by checking photo ID prior to filing  Call the CVITP dedicated help line for any questions about income tax, using EFILE, and the UFile CVITP tax software  Communicate issues, questions, or concerns with the Tax Clinic Coordinator Qualifications: No accounting experience required Must have a valid Social Insurance Number Must have filed your own taxes in Canada at least once Training and software will be provided 
Design and schedule posts for social media Monitor and reply to all comments and DMs, or forward to the relevant coordinatorCollaborate with the Communications Coordinator on additional content as requiredAssist with promotional materials as requestedAttend Library events to document and share content on social media*LWork at least a couple of Library shifts per year to gain a better understanding of how the Library operatesTime commitment: 1–4 hours weeklyMultiple volunteers welcome.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: - You understand that cancer can change everything and you want to help people in your community get access to their Cancer treatment. - You are ready to do your best to make a client’s ride to treatment one less thing they have to worry about, allowing them the space and focus to handle their journey in their own way. - You are comfortable using online tools, like email and our scheduling software and you have a valid driver’s license with 3 or fewer demerit points, drive a smoke free vehicle and be willing to undergo a criminal records check. OUR INVESTMENT: - As an organization we will provide you with training and support to prepare you for this important role. - You will be supported by a Transportation Coordinator, who will be providing your driving schedule and be there to help you throughout your time on the road. - You will be part of the larger Wheels of Hope team, including over 1600 volunteer drivers and many staff who share your desire to help as many people as possible get to their treatments. - You decide when and where you are willing to drive and time away is no problem. - Mileage reimbursement or tax receipt is offered. As a community engagement leadership volunteer, you will be part of our committees of 10 to 15 volunteers who will work over the months to help us organize our fundraising events. Depending on the needs in your community, available roles could include committee lead, logistics, community outreach, volunteer lead, and social media.DescriptionThe Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure is a 5k or 1k walk or run. It is a volunteer-led event and the largest breast cancer fundraiser in Canada.This year’s event will be taking place on Sunday, October 4, 2026.As the volunteer Community Outreach Lead, you will be responsible for: • Creating and executing a community and corporate outreach strategy to recruit participants and teams. • Connecting with your community (community groups, friends and family, local businesses, local outreach booths) and inviting them to get registered with the CIBC Run for the Cure.  • Identifying local events happening in your community where you can represent CCS and promote the CIBC Run for the Cure.  If your site does not have a Sponsorship Lead you will also be responsible for: • Securing food and beverage for the event through Event Supporter sponsorships. • Soliciting and securing local gift-in-kind and cash sponsorships. Why we need youYour commitment will help make a real difference for all Canadians impacted by breast cancer.What we're looking forYou are passionate about the breast cancer cause, well-connected in your community, and enjoy event planning.
