Results is an advocacy nonprofit that believes in mobilizing everyday people (our volunteers) to generate the political will to end extreme poverty in low-and middle-income countries. We focus our work on global health, access to quality education and economic opportunities. We direct our energy and efforts at government decision makers like party leaders, Members of Parliament and senators because they have the power to improve policies and make the monetary investments needed to end extreme poverty. We also raise awareness by writing letters to the editor (LTEs) and op-eds, using social media, fundraising and more. Oftentimes the first step is putting these issues on the radar — and keeping the pressure on. It might seem like a small step, but it all adds up into impact. commitment: 1 year minimum, 1-2 hours per week on average support structure: Volunteers (virtually) meet in local groups on a monthly basis and rely on their group leader(s) for guidance. Attending other virtual calls and webinars led by Results staff is recommended. These opportunities will be counted towards your total volunteer hours, and costs, including provincial travel and accommodation, will be covered by Foundations Learning.

Foundations Learning is offering a free, year-round Income Tax Clinic in partnership with the CRA’s Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), and we are recruiting Volunteer Tax Preparers. As a Volunteer Tax Preparer, you will complete income tax returns for low-income Saskatchewan residents with simple tax situations. This helps them get the benefits and tax credit they may be entitled to. Our tax clinic will be offered both in person and virtually. You can choose to volunteer in person at a tax clinic or virtually by completing income tax returns online, or both!. You have the option to volunteer only during the tax season (March-April), or throughout the year. No accounting experience is required. Volunteers receive free in-person training and online resources provided by the CRA, as well as additional training and ongoing support from Foundations Learning. Duties and Responsibilities: Complete income tax returns following CRA guidelines Use EFILE tax preparation software to file tax returns electronically Maintain strict confidentiality on all taxpayer information Verify taxpayer identity by checking photo ID prior to filing Call the CVITP dedicated help line for any questions about income tax, using EFILE, and the UFile CVITP tax software Communicate issues, questions, or concerns with the Tax Clinic Coordinator Qualifications: No accounting experience required Must have a valid Social Insurance Number Must have filed your own taxes in Canada at least once Training and software will be provided

The BeaYOUtiful Foundation, a registered Canadian Charity, is bringing the Inspired By Her Conference to Saskatoon for the very first time! This conference is dedicated to inspiring young girls to feel confident in themselves as well as help them to define their self-worth. The day will consist of three rotating workshops focused on building confidence through movement, conversation and mentorship.YOUR ROLE: Be a mentor for a day! Our volunteers will be paired up with 2-3 young girls from the community and be their "Soul Sister” during the event. Consider volunteering and take an active role on one of Meewasin’s Board Advisory Committees! We are seeking three new members to join the Development Review Committee. Meewasin’s Board of Directors makes appointments, and vacancies are filled as necessary. Potential candidates must have the necessary qualifications and experience to fulfil the purpose of the committee. Meewasin strives to have diverse representation on its advisory committees to ensure our entire community is represented. If you are part of an under-represented community, we strongly encourage you to apply.The Development Review Committee assists the Meewasin Board of Directors as follows: a) review and advise the Board on development applications of proposed improvements; b) review and advise the Board on additions to the Meewasin Development Plan; and c) review and advise the Board on the development review process. The committee typically meets every other month. Meetings are held virtually.The Development Review Committee is currently seeking three (3) members that fit the following requirements: • One member, must be a professional planner; • Two members, as defined in The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, at least one of whom is a geotechnical engineer or a professional geoscientist. At times, ‘all committee’ meetings are called or requests are made for input for specific projects from the project’s Technical Advisory Committee. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, and shall be eligible for re-appointment to a maximum of two consecutive terms (four years). Appointees retired from a committee may serve on another committee or be eligible for re-appointment following a minimum one-year absence.
