Remembering and honouring the Heroes of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash The crash prompted condolences from public figures and celebrities, along with vigils and tributes such as people leaving hockey sticks outside their doorsSixteen souls lost on an April road. Thirteen survivors carrying visible and invisible scars. Families forever changed beneath the wide prairie horizon. Yet from unimaginable tragedy came unity stronger than steel. The tragedy brought an outpouring of grief and support from across Canada and around the world. Public leaders, athletes, celebrities, and communities shared condolences, while vigils, memorials, and heartfelt tributes appeared everywhere — including the powerful gesture of families placing hockey sticks outside their homes in remembrance of the Humboldt Broncos.
