The Health Research Data Platform – Saskatchewan (HRDP-SK) is looking for people to join its Public Advisory Council (PAC).If you care about how health data is used and want to help shape how it informs research and decision-making in Saskatchewan, this could be a great fit.What will PAC members do?As a member of the Public Advisory Council, you will bring your experiences, perspectives, and ideas to conversations about how health data is used. You will help HRDP-SK:· Improve how to communicate about health data to the public· Protect privacy and security · Build public trust and engagement· Ensure the perspectives of Saskatchewan communities are reflected in health data researchWho are we looking for?We are looking for people from across Saskatchewan who can bring different experiences and perspectives to the table.Helpful experience could include:· Being part of a group or committee· Contributing to your community and caring about its well-being· Personal experience with Saskatchewan’s health system as a patient, family member, or caregiver· Involvement in provincial initiatives or advisory groupsNo previous council or committee experience is required. Consider volunteering and take an active role on one of Meewasin’s Board Advisory Committees! We are seeking three new members to join the Development Review Committee. Meewasin’s Board of Directors makes appointments, and vacancies are filled as necessary. Potential candidates must have the necessary qualifications and experience to fulfil the purpose of the committee. Meewasin strives to have diverse representation on its advisory committees to ensure our entire community is represented. If you are part of an under-represented community, we strongly encourage you to apply.The Development Review Committee assists the Meewasin Board of Directors as follows: a) review and advise the Board on development applications of proposed improvements; b) review and advise the Board on additions to the Meewasin Development Plan; and c) review and advise the Board on the development review process. The committee typically meets every other month. Meetings are held virtually.The Development Review Committee is currently seeking three (3) members that fit the following requirements: • One member, must be a professional planner; • Two members, as defined in The Engineering and Geoscience Professions Act, at least one of whom is a geotechnical engineer or a professional geoscientist. At times, ‘all committee’ meetings are called or requests are made for input for specific projects from the project’s Technical Advisory Committee. Committee members are appointed for a two-year term, and shall be eligible for re-appointment to a maximum of two consecutive terms (four years). Appointees retired from a committee may serve on another committee or be eligible for re-appointment following a minimum one-year absence.
